iPhone Review
As with any product that has been accompanied by the same amount of hype and excitement as the latest incarnation of Apple‘s iPhone, the i phone 4, questions are invariably asked as to whether the hype is justified. The iPhone has undoubtedly been a sensation since coming out in 2007 and the newest version of the phone has arguably increased the world’s obsession with Apple products. With the phone costing hundreds of pounds though, it is understandable that people will question whether or not the iPhone 4 is worth both the money and the excitement.
Firstly, let’s see what new features Apple are offering in order to get you to part with your money. The phone now has high definition video recording capabilities, bringing the iPhone in line with the HD revolution, and also now allows users to multitask with applications, something that many owners have pleaded with Apple to do in the past. Throw all of this into a super slim and award winning handset and you do get a very impressive package.
Although the iPhone has dominated the smart phone market for the last three the new model has been accompanied by this huge hype and although it is undoubtedly at the forefront of mobile phone technology, the market is now a different place than it was three years ago. There are now many other smart phones out there that can attempt to rival the iPhone 4 and with impressive handsets such as the HTC Desire (the most powerful android phone on the market) and the Samsung Galaxy S proving popular at the moment (and at a cheaper price) customers will be wanting to make sure that they are getting much more for the extra money.
Android phones do have their advantages as anyone is able to program applications for their phones, so the catalogue of apps is huge and is only rising, add that to its partnership with Google and you get a decent phone. The truth is though that at the moment Apple have several high profile programmers making apps exclusively for iPhones and when you factor in the faster operating system and the superior hardware then it is really down to whether you can justify the extra expense. If you think you will use your iPhone enough to get your money’s worth then they are definitely worth having.
